COGNITUM Software: Identity and Access Management for SMB

Bonn, 2nd of September 2019 – COGNITUM Software GmbH, vendor of standardized software for Identity and Access Management, will start its operations on September 1st, 2019. The company emerged as a spin-off from the ITConcepts group, a global IT service provider and system integrator. COGNITUM Software combines the experience and expertise of almost 20 years of identity and access governance and will operate independently under the umbrella of the ITConcepts group of companies.

Today's diverse heterogeneous systems require Identity & Access Governance (IAG), as the core component, of a secure IT infrastructure. Small and medium-sized enterprises in particular face enormous challenges in this area, especially with regard to the complexity, duration and cost of these projects. COGNITUM Software combines many years of practical experience gained from consulting and implementation as well as the expertise for IAG solutions as part of the IT security strategy. Our products are implemented quickly and cost effectively for any business, regardless of industry and size. This reduces the effort for application developers, minimizing implementation times and costs.

Products by COGNITUM Software:

  • go:Identity is the pre-configured and standardized Identity Management solution with automated user access and role management. The solution is quickly deployed, reducing overall costs, and adheres to all major regulatory standards with a user-friendly interface.
  • go:Roles is a tool for an initial access analysis, for role modelling that supports the deployment of any Identity & Access Management solution and provides continuous role maintenance for ongoing operations. The solution supports Segregation of Duty (SoD) and analysis of entitlements.

“We develop ‘Identity Management Software’ for everybody, which contains the essence of our IAM expertise. Instantly operational. Simply adaptable. Sustainable.”, Sven Moog, CEO of COGNITUM Software GmbH. "Our goal is to provide any business of any size the ability to, comprehensively, manage identities and permissions with our software, easily and affordably. We have therefore developed a fair pricing model with fixed annual costs per user. By doing so, we believe this will help small and medium-sized organizations achieve compliance goals without concerns over insurmountable costs that typical IAG projects require."
